unmarried - 2 yrs cohabitation but only 1.5 shared lease

Hello all. I have a question about what evidence is required to prove two years cohabitation for an EEA unmarried partner permit.
My partner is an EU citizen and I am a US citizen. We are now living in the US. We are looking to move to the UK in Spring 2013. (He already has the job offer, the start date is flexible). When we apply, we will have been living together for two years, but we have limited documentation for the first six months of our cohabitation.
Our situation is the following:
Before he moved in with me, he lived with a roommate in the same city. For the first four months of our cohabitation he continued to pay the roommate his share of the rent. I paid all the rent for our apartment. Once his previous roommate found a new roommate, he started to pay rent to me for our apartment, and had all of his mail redirected to our address. Two months later (six months after the initial move in) our landlords officially added him to the lease.
My question is, is there any evidence besides mail addressed to our address and the lease agreement that we can use to prove 2 years cohabitation? We have vacation photos, emails, etc. from this period of our relationship, but not much official evidence of our shared living arrangement. If anyone has advice about applying as an unmarried partner without a shared lease it would be greatly appreciated!
