Why are you afraid; they are not going to waterboard you? They merely want to confirm you are in a genuine relationship and if you are surely are, you have nothing to be concerned about. Take to the interview any evidence of material that has been requested by the UKBA

They will only ask simple questions that they expect you to be able to answer if you are your partner are in an interpersonal relationship. Your unfounded fear of this is, frankly, irrational, unless, that is, you are not a genuine couple.

they are not going to ask you any thing irrelevant, its just going to be some personal information where you guys meet how you know each other some family member names and stuff and those sort of things nothing to worry about if you are a guanine couple nothing to worry just be calm and relax.

It's normal for OP to be paranoid, I would be myself, I have been called for an marriage interview in the past with my spouse whom I have met and courted for 5 years, believe me they also ask some weird questions, like how did you propose and where? Do you or your spouse have any scar? and if yes what part of the body? I knew my spouse's got a little cut to close to her eye and they further asked if this is on the right or left how the heck am i suppose to know that?

Ukba can asked any thing.one of my friend called for interview and he shocked when ukba asked about the date and day of first kiss, and where?and what was the first gift from both sides and what was the last gift?when and where?etc etc but if you are areal couple then no need to worry.

They can ask you anything. But you do not need to answer everything.

The onus is on you at this point to demonstrate that you do not have a marriage of convenience.

You could prove it with evidence that, for example, you have been living together for the last 10 years, or have a child together, or own property together, or ...

Look on the bright side. The HO could have held onto the application for 6 months and then refuse on the basis of marriage of convenience forcing you to appeal (this happened to many). You only applied a month ago so hopefully once the interview is over, it won't take the HO long to issue the RC.

I also would be curious about some of the general questions.

The anecdotal one that always sticks in my mind is knowing the colour of your spouse's tooth brush, which I would not be able to answer, though doubtless she knows mine.
