Greetings,

So I just received a call from the British Embassy in Cairo , after the phone operator confirmed my identity she said " The entry clearance officer is requesting your Original marriage certificate " so I told her it should be included with my application, I had to make her check the second envelope which the Worldbridge employee had to put the documents i wished to have back inside. She confirmed the validity of the certificate with the ECO and then came back to me and thanked me and hung up.

Considering that I have provided tons of items to prove the durability and genuineness of our relation, Is that any good indication ??

Thanks in advance

Only the marriage certificate is required. Providing more material than that has proved to be problematic in the past, and also makes it harder for the one important piece (the marriage certificate) to be found.

How long has the embassy been processing the application?

Neglecting both the bank holidays as well as the time consumed for the application to reach the British embassy today is the 6th day only

Thanks for your kind replies

Directive I have to mention also that we are recently married however we have been in a relation for an excess of 7 years so I had to include evidence to show that this marriage is not one of convenience.
