Applying for National insurance number with an EEA FP

Good morning,Guys is it possible that i can apply for National insurance number while i am in the UK with an EEA Family permit?currently i still not applying for Residence card,cause i though maybe i apply for NI first then the RC.what do you think beautiful people?

Yes you can apply NI number with your EEA family permit. You need to firstly book appointment with them.

Now days they are sending you a form..you have fill it amd send them back with pp copies etc..and they will send you the NI number with a letter...I just got it 2 days ago. No interview or appoinment

Thank you miryferny, I see that you did applied for an EEA2 hopefully things will work well and faster. i am going to apply for EEA2 next week but i am thinking first i will apply for NI number as i may not have my passport later... i would like to ask you about employment.
are you working right now? if yes did they employer asked you about a proof of work elegibility ?

A copy of Bio page would be enough for the NI number..No Im not working right now..But once you apply for the EEA2 you will recieve a COA and with that you can work

I personally sent a copy of my EEA husband's pp as well..just in case you know..

No they sent me the nino with a letter..
