hi guys
i could really do with some help very confused here.

-- i applied for permanent residence card via EEA4 route and got the permanent residence card on 23 may 2013.

-- the passport which was stamped expired on 06 january 2014.

-- so i applied for new passport and upon arrival of my new passport i applied for transfer of my permanent residence card to new passport using NTL form.

-- home office rejected it and send passport back after 5 months saying i have to use a fresh EEA4 application if i need to get my new passport stamped with permanent residence stamp.

-- now do i make a fresh application via EEA4 route ???

-- or can i apply for british citizenship since i will have permanent residence on my passport for 1 year on 25 may 2014.

please advice....

many thanks in advance

its entirely up to you .if RC IS ISSUED ON ISD A4 SIZE DOCUMENT TO TRANNSFER to new passport you have to make fresh appplication .
or if its on old passport same applies fresh application.
you can carry the old passport and new . nothing to worry about.

there is no legal requirement to transfer your card to a new passport.
just carry both of them when traveling as toofan said and then apply for BC when ever you ready.

you don't really want to deal with HO again, do you ?
