Hi to ALL

i need advice for my close friend.
He was granted 5 years EEA family permit. His wife is from EEA.His visa will expire on 15.10.2014.They were living together until 30/09/2014 and now they are separated. He is very confuse what to do.
Questions

1- Can he still apply for PR as she will not give him her ID for PR ??
2- Does he need to apply for Right of Retention ?? if yes then what will happen???
3- He has also completed 10 years legal in the UK including EEA family permit -Should he go for SET-LR?

please advice

1. Yes. The HO don't need his wife ID as they saw it already for his RC application.
2. He can't retain rights without a divorce and in any case doesn't need to.
3. Yes he can if he want to apply for something that costs a lot more and has the same affect.
