travelling to france with expired family permit

hi,
I looking for help or adivse
I am EEA citizen living and working in London with my wife (non EEA citizen) and 3 children.my wife and 2 of children has family permit (expired), and the third child born in uk and has only English birth certificate.
I am planning to travel to France with all my family for one week and come back to London. by exercise eaa free movement can I travel by train without any problems?

You will need a passport for the little one. A birth certificate is not enough. Strictly speaking a visa is not required although might be easier to get a schengen visa (if required).

I read all the highlighted topics , it ha good information.
I have questions.
to do passport for my little one I need to wait till may to get appointment in the Italian consulate the first available one...
if I travel to france by train and when I come back again on the entry does my wife will get new 1A STAMP?
IF YES, is 1A stamp is multi entry?

The stamp is single entry although nothing stops her from getting it again on her next entry.

thanks for jumbo for your prompt response.
only I am worry that my wife will travel also to non eu country with me for one week and will be difficult to ask for family permit a it take one month. and it will be impossible to board the flight without visa or fp.
any advise for getting multi entry visa by visiting any EU country before going to the non EU native country?

Not sure what you are asking. Does she wish to apply for EEA Family Permit in Europe before going to her home country so she will have a valid visa? Then Dublin could be a good choice.or any other country but it can take a few weeks to get it.

thanks jumbo for your time to reply my post.
I am trying to guarantee any visa or fp permit for her before going back to her home country.
this means that we can go to Dublin and stay there for 2 weeks and then she apply for f p?
does she needs to be resident in the country where she will apply for fp?
