Hi everyone,

I'm a EEA citizen (Germany) and currently live in Germany. My husband is a resident & citizen of Turkey. He is planning to apply for EEA family permit. We have a few questions:
1. Seems like we can't get a CSI for my husband since he is not a resident of any EEA country. Instead, we managed to get him a travel insurance from AOK (German company). It covers 45 days anytime during the year. We can get him a CSI once we are in the UK but will travel insurance be enough for him to get a EEA Family permit?
2. To be on the safe side, I'd like to be a qualified person based on 2 conditions - self-sufficient person AND job seeker. Any idea what is a minimum number of job application forms, letters of invite to interviews, and rejection letters from employers I need to show in order to be considered as a job seeker?
3. How should we inform UK Consulate about my situation as a job seeker in the application of my husband? Where exactly should we write that I’m searching for a job to be a qualified person in the UK.
4. We have more than 5,000 pages of the Google Hangouts records (conversations with my husband). It's simply not possible to print them all and bring 5kg of paper to the interview What should we do?

1) Unaware travel insurance is a prerequisite for FP; but ofcourse travel insurance is a good thing when travelling.
Bring your local-issued EHICs too.

Note Only students & self-sufficient persons (& dependent family members) need CSI to support claim to be exercising treaty rights.

3) You don't contact the consulate or write to anyone per se.
Just make sure you gather enough documentary supporting evidence (in the course of your jobseeking) for use when you apply for RCs, confirmation of PR (in 5 years time) & etc.

Oh & register with Job Centre too.

4) There probably won't be an interview.
You could sample & summarise such evidence if you need to submit it.
