Hi,

My wife and I are living here in UK for 8 months. She's EEA national and is unemployed at the moment. We are waiting for her QP and my RC response. We applied in June. (I will update the date later). Said that, we would like to know if she can bring her cousin to live here with us?
The cousin is married and has one child, so their spouse and kid can take the EEA Extended family member too?

Thanks if anyone can help.

Only if they are dependant and you say the EEA national is unemployed, I find it difficult to believe (and more crucially the UKVI won't either) that three more people can be supported on one wages (if you are working).

Thanks for the reply.
Yes, I'm working at the moment. And at first, only the cousin will join us. Their family will join us maybe six months or even one year after that.

But you have to show genuine dependency, can you show that?

As Wanderer has highlighted...is your wife's cousin wholly dependent on you? In other words, can you prove that you support him financially? :?

An applicant may be considered for an EEA family permit as an extended family member if they are:

residing in a country other than the UK and are dependent on the EEA national or are a member of the EEA national’s household; and
accompanying the EEA national to the UK or wishing to join them there.
According to https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... ly-members, the cousin must be whole deppendant OR member of my household. I'll support him in UK, but I also have to support him on their country of origin?

You can only sponsor dependants, not any any Tom, Dick or Harry. i.e. dependants NOW...
