PR - Better to submit incomplete application now or wait?

Hello,

as explained in my previous posts, I've lost many of my P45's from 1999-2004. From 2004 onwards I have managed to find most of my P45's; however I have a long unemployment gap from 2008-2012 and I fear this could count against me (it all depends on retroactive interpretation of the concept of worker status, that was amended in 2013).

I have asked my bank(s) to provide me copies of transactions for the period 2000-2004 but at the moment it seems mission impossible for various reasons, but I'm working on it.

At this stage it is vital that I get a PR certificate as soon as possible, but in the best of circumstances it might take a few months before I can rebuild a log of my work history during my early years in this country (I did a lot of temping and I worked for agricultural gangmasters who eventually never gave me a P45 but paid on my bank accounts).

What would happen if I sent an application with massive gaps in my work history?

Assuming my PR was rejected, would I be able to submit further evidence later? Or would I have to start from scratch?

Thanks

Wiser to wait. Why the rush to for the PR certificate?

Because I am not sure I couldn't get all my paperwork in a reasonable time.

Also, in the event of unemployment, I wouldn't be able to claim benefits.
