EEA2 secondment to Asia - Exercising treaty right?

Bit of an odd scenario. I recently received my EEA2 Spousal Permit (Wife self sufficient EU, I'm non-EU) and work wants me to go to Asia for a couple of months on secondment. As my wife will join me, could Home Office take a view that she isn't exercising her treaty rights any more?

The EU is naturally very civilised, you are allowed time off for good behaviour
