Which HMRC form to request employment history?

Hello,
In a previous thread I was pointed out to this resource:
http://robertleach.co.uk/2013/08/reques ... from-hmrc/
to request an employment history from the HMRC. Unfortunately this page doesn't have a link to the actual form. I suspect it is this one:
https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... ry-request
However I am bit confused because:
1) this page mentions "national insurance". I already have a statement about my national insurance for the last 17 years and it doesn't have a breakdowns of all employers.
2) My employment history is too long and won't fit on the form. Can I point to a separate attachment? According the first links I posted:
. Please note, HMRC will only accept requests made on this form. ‘Incomplete forms will result in the correspondence being returned to you’.
I fear that they will reject my request if it doesn't fit the form.
3) On the same page it is stated:
. For residency purposes HMRC provide National Insurance and benefit information for the last fourteen tax years.
Is this true?
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

We don't have a tax specialist here as this is an immigration forum . Google a tax forum for the accurate advice you need.

It's not about tax. It's about having a record of employment to then apply for PR.
Can anybody help?

Just write to HMRC with your details including your NI NUMBER in other to request for Tax and National Insurance contributions for any specific year.
Or write a latter with your PR application for HO to make that request on your behalf
Good luck.

If the record it's belong to your spouse they will not sent it to you as you're not the bearer, otherwise HO has to do it for you.

A quick update and a request for help. I sent my request using the form as per link in my 1st post. The Hmrc was quite quick in replying, but instead of sending me a detailed employment history, they sent me a page with a summary of my NIC contributions, which is useless to me.
Is this the most I can get? Have I sent the wrong form? Have the HMRC sent me the wrong information?
I'm at a loss and a bit despairing. Without those records I won't be able to apply for EEA PR.
Any help will be appreciated.

NI contribution can work. I recently argued that class 2 or class 4 payment of taxes can be used as evidence of self employment and this was accepted.

HiObie,
Thanks for all the gud work you do in the forum.will like to ask if it was the home office or tribunal you argued that NI contribution can be taken as evidence of self employment.

Thanks Obie but I don't want to go through this route because some years I was on income based JSA and I paid no NI. Therefore this is a gap I don't want to show. If I could only find my records for the previous years that would be a lifesaver!

Thanks for the link.
I then called the HMRC and the operator told me I made a mistake by mentioning the Home Office. He said I should reply to the letter and re apply using the data protection act, which I will do shortly. He also told me it might take more than six months. Hard to believe really, because it took them less than two weeks to find my NI records.
