2 questions re PR application: help needed

Hi all
I finally completed my application for PR, but still have 2 queries left before I send it off

I arrived in 2001 (from Belgium), always worked and will give evidence related to the period 2009-2014.

1/ Do I need to show proof of employment before 2009? I can name the 2 employers I had between 2001-2009 but unfortunately they are not longer trading.
The form says that I need a letter of each employer, or P45/notice of redundancy etc.. which I don't have or can't produce , in case I need to show this for employment pre 2009.
I have payslips between 2001-2009 that's not a problem but no other documents.
From 2009 onwards I have all the required documents and can give letters from the employers. I read somewhere here that the HO will need all the info since you arrived here, and that's a problem as I can't go back that far.

2/ absence from the UK
I can't recall all the dates of travel in 2009-2010....I checked with the Border Agency re my movements and they only give details till 2011. They said is impossible to find earlier information as the info is stored 5 yrs only. I checked my emails, travel correspondence etc, and I know I did a couple of short trips to the continent but can't recall exact dates of travel. I rather omit these trips than to give incorrect dates, which is in se a lie.
Would adding a short written explanation help?

thank you

And lastly, for the qualifying period 09-14, are a couple of payslips per year sufficient? Together with the p60, contract, letter employer etc.

Also, I have my own property and am single, so I get a council tax reduction for single occupancy. When I read the section re benefits, should I mention this?
Will this impact negatively on my application. I can't hide it anyway Asia submitting my council tax bills as proof of residence

Is council tax reduction for single occupancy a benefit that must be mentioned? I'm submitting council tax docs as proof of residence so they will see the reduction. This is not means tested and I have worked full time for 16 yrs in the UK

Hod do you send out the application? I have 3 files, one is the application, another one the proof of residence and a third one with employment docs. The latter 2 have each individual dividers for each year.
I added bank statements to show my residence but also added a few to my employment file

Since 2011 our P60 has been electronically issued so my employer wrote a letter to confirm genuinety and he has stamped/signed each P60 Hope that's ok :?

I'm sorry about this, but as I did not get any replies to my questions, I posted in the general EEA/PR thread as maybe more people will read.
I'll make sure not to do this in the future

This is wrong. I have been here since I was 2 years old, that's 25 years, and it would be seriously difficult for me to give HO information from that entire period! I don't even know what date I first came to the UK and UKVI have no entry/exit records for me at all (good old EU free movement).

You don't need to give evidence of anything before your qualifying period.

It is entirely understandable that you cannot recall exact travel dates from 2009/2010. Unless you were out of the country for months at a time, it shouldn't be a problem. Write in the other information box that you had a few short trips but didn't know exact dates. As long as your evidence shows you were still resident here, you'll be fine.

P60's, a couple of payslips, bank statements from each year and employer letter are all good evidence. Put the whole lot in.

Council tax single person discount is not a "benefit" in that sense.
