Coming back to UK with new PR card

Hello,
I have recently acquired my UK biometric PR card as a family member of a union citizen and am now making enquiries about whether or not I can travel with it visa-free (mainly to my husband's country when we are together).
My question here is about coming back to UK with this new card when I am alone.
In previous years I had no problem - just showing my RC and maybe answering a couple of quick questions. However new rules seem to be made all the time and I am just wondering if this is still true for this new card or should I make sure to carry additional documents (marriage certificate, proof of sponsor's residence/employment) whenever I travel? Has anyone had recent experience in travelling with PR card?
Any reassurance is greatly appreciated.

A confirmation of PR card is intended to confirm that you have a right of permanent residence in the UK.

Wow, I am really sorry to hear you had to go through that. This is the kind of thing I have been worried about as it seems in practice UK border agents often do whatever they want regardless of what rights we acquire. I am going on my first trip with PR on Sunday and coming back the following week. I will take additional supporting documents and report how it goes.
On a positive note, I had a confirmation from my husband's home country (Finland) that I can travel there with him and my PR and do not need a visa.
