Working in the EU whilst in EEA(EFM) application

Hi All,
I was wondering about working in another EU country (for a UK-based company) whilst with a COA with the right to work from an EEA(EFM) application. This wouldn't be permanent work but a work trip of 1 or 2 days.
Is this possible?
Not recomendable?

UK COA is only for UK!
Nationality?
How will you enter this other country?
Where is your sponsor? where will sponsor be during this work trip?

Sorry if I was unclear, but I meant business trips with a UK company, not actually undertaking work paid for by a non-UK company.
None of this is happening to me yet, but possible future employers have asked.
I don't need a visa to enter the country (Spain).
Sponsor will be in the UK.
I've checked rules according to Spain and it states that if I have the right to work in my residence country and its part of the EU there is no need for new visa for temporary work.
So I'm not sure where the COA stands...

Absence of under 6 months a year (per year) won't affect continuity of residence in UK.
I don't know if Spain will be cool with such an arrangement or not; I travel extensively for business (admittedly its usually elsewhere than Europe) and my company simply gets me work visas.
