Hello Everybody,
I’m from EEA country Portugal I have lived and work in United Kingdom since 2010, I wanted to skip PR and Naturalised direct but the law changed last year November that everyone need PR before naturalization. My question is I’ve got my PR today, Can I apply straight away for my Naturalisation or do I have to wait after 12 months before I can apply for Naturalisation as I have already over good 6 years living and working in UK please I need your assistance as I would not like to waste my savings for the naturalisation and get refuse by HO.

You need to apply for and get your PR card. Have you done that?
If not, don't take the application for granted, you will need good supporting evidence.
Then, if it's confirmed you have acquired PR over 12 months ago (or you are married to a BC) then yes, you can shoot directly for privilege of citizenship.
That is assuming all other requirements have been/can be met, including:
residency/absences, proof of physical presence in UK 5 years before application date; LITUK, proof of English, referees, good character, sound mind & etc etc.

Hello Guys,
Thanks very much for your quick reply to my post. I have acquired the PR few days ago and its less than 12 months since I acquired it, my question was because I have lived and worked in United Kingdom for good six years which I have the proof. Can I apply for Naturalization now or I still have to wait for 12 months before I can apply for my Naturalization or there is no short cut. Formerly after 6 years you can apply for it without PR but since the PR has been introduced last year November am not too sure if that applys to everyone thanks.

Acquired the PR-what? a '
confirmation of PR card' or have acquired PR status?
If you mean you now have a confirmatory card and believe you acquired PR over a year ago then simply apply for privilege of citizenship via NCS. NCS can call HO directly to check what date of acquisition of PR status is filed on your record in the HO's CID-system.
Or you could apply for a SAR from UKVI to find this out.
