Does anyone know if there is a gap of 40 days when I was moving of city and waiting to start in a new job should be accounted for? Should I explain this gap or this is irrelevant as it is short?
I am applying as EEA citizen qualified working person for Permanent residence
Thanks in advance

Well I sent the application yesterday and I declared being a jobseeker during those 40 days. I did not claim any benefits and did not register in the jobcentre as evidence I sent applications for jobs.

Sounds like you have it covered.
There's anecdotal evidence of short gaps being overlooked but 40 days could be pushing it. And there's no clear guidance on this and no guarantees.
So submitting evidence of being a jobseeker is best approach.
