EEA family visa confusion-Please help us!!

Hello Everyone,
I'm a Greek national (eea national) married to a Iraqi national. We have been married and living together in the United Arab Emirates since 2013.
We planning/planned to go to the UK to visit my family for ONLY 2 weeks.
However my husband was refused a eea family permit June 7, 2016 "marriage of convenience". The strange thing is the refusal letter said we didn't submit a supporting letter when in fact we did. It also stated that we didn't submit any evidence of a genuine relationship and we had no grounds of appeal.
We submitted: marriage certificate, support letter from me (eea national), copy of my passport, husband salary certificate, his health insurance coverage and my UAE resident card that clearly states my husband as my spouse and sponsor.
I do not work, thus have no bills in my name.
I tried contacting the British embassy countless times but received the same answer "we can not assist in visa applications". I emailed them and even called their paid service to get some help but nothing. The Vfs global told us to apply with a new application. We had to wait almost 2 weeks before getting the next available date.
On (June 21, 2016) the day of submitting the second application, we finally received a email from the British embassy telling us to submit my husband's initial application with all supporting documents directly to them and not through Vfs global. I showed the email to the Vfs global manager and asked him to cancel the second application. I just have to say, Vfs global is THE WORST!! They have completely no idea what they are doing.
Any whos, we sent my husband's initial application and additional supporting documents via the email given by the British embassy. We sent screen shots of my facebook pictures with dates from 2011 to present date, pictures of us, our holiday tickets, text and email messages between us, lease agreement and my online shopping deliveries to our apartment, declaration letters from friends and family, passport stamps, marriage certificate, my uae resident permit, my husbands health insurance and husband salary certificate.
Now you'd think that would be it but we aren't THAT lucky. We received a email back saying the email was not monitored and we needed to find the alternative email address. We then posted all the documents directly to the embassy. DHL confirmed collection but no confirmation from the Embassy.
My husband is due back at work by the end of this month and we are meant to travel in 3 days. I really have no idea what to do next. Any guidelines or advice please!! We have been treated so horrible and all for just two weeks of stay?!?
