Partner's PR application to my existing one.

Hello dear people,

I would appreciate some advice.

My PR application is in process, about 2 months in (no hurry there) received COA etc. Applying as a non eea married to an eea citizen.

The thing is, my partner has suddenly decided he wants to apply for his, after almost 10 yrs without, but all our joint documents are already with the home office for my application.

Rather than wait a year for the return of these documents, is there anyway we can send his form/payment/biometrics etc. to be added to mine (in transit, as it were) as a joint application?

Many thanks for any advice on this issue.

This would be unusual.
There doesn't seem to be any rule against it but it could prove difficult to submit a cohesive and joined-up application.

You are also relying on the good will and commonsense of HO staff to join the two applications together.
This may or may not happen for a variety of practical and administrative reasons.
