Hi All,

My husband is Italian working 35 hours a week. I have applied for EEA residence permit on 30 March 2016, I got refusal on 4th Oct 2016. They refused my application because there was a mistake on my marriage certificate. But home office held my passport .

Now I am going to re apply after getting correction on my marriage certificate. I just wanted to that can I send my fresh application without passport saying that passport is already with them , or should I request my passport back which I don't think they return.

Second question, I applied myself without any advice from solicitor. Should I apply through solicitor or on my own this time?
Thanks in advance.

Do it as you wish as long as the mistake has been corrected.Re apply with a letter stating that your ID is with them and add their reference number in the letter in other to link your application with your ID.

Good luck.
