Hi every one.Not sure if this topic is in correct place.
Me and my partner planing to get married she got permanent residency card(PR) issued for 10 years this year. So my question is if she takes my surname do we have to change PR card too? As i was looking apparently we do and its cost £223 i hope i am wrong. Or if she keeps her name can we changed after one year?
Any help would be nice.
Thanks in advance

Where did you read that it costs £233?
You can simply apply for a new PR card. It costs £65.

You do not have a BRP.
Read the EEA(PR) guidance for applying for a replacement card.

reading the reasons to reapply , it's doesn't say anything about changing name

so not sure if i have to change it or not. it says
You need to reapply for your residence card or permanent residence card if it’s lost, stolen, expired or damaged.
so i'm a little bit confused do i need to change it or not,ad if i do need to change do i have to submit all documents again?
as tere is no specific section saying if you getting married what to do.
thank you in advance

If you are not in a hurry try and submit a "Freedom of Information" request.
