PR (EEA) application -student without CSI , please help!

Good morning
I'm preparing my application for PR (EEA) .I am facing a big dilemma. I do not have a CSI for the time when I was student and wondered if there are any exception on that.
I first entered UK in 2007 when I was 18 years and 10 months. I was enrolled into a college where I studied A Levels initially then Access to HE course until 2011 and then university from 2012 until 2015.I begin my employment in 2015.
In the beginning (2007) and for following years (until uni years in 2012) I have been living with my mum who provided the essentials : accommodation, food and financial help. No bank transfers done as we lived in the same house and cash would have been at that point the financial help. During college and university years I have worked small amount of hours with contracts and I have paid NINO and have pay slips but the length do not cover 5 years continuously at any point... so really cannot apply as QP on that base.
My mother was working full time and has been a qualified person exercising treaty rights since 2007 therefore entitled to PR on her own rights.
IN 2008 I have been issued a Blue card with no restriction to take employment in UK. I cannot remember what the application was for exactly as at that point my mum dealt with all the thing and therefore I do not know why I did not get a Yellow Card as my mum said she specified I am planning to study and possibly work part time if that would be a possibility... At that point none of us thought this is actually detrimental for me to have a blue instead of a yellow card. Never knew(until now!) about need for CSI or either private insurance as this would not have been a problem due to low costs and the fact that we like things done legally. I wish I knew but is nothing I could do now...
In one of the topics someone said that "Any EEA parent who was a qualified person in UK during same period could be considered as your EEA sponsor" would make somehow an exception from having CSI. Is that right?
I would be grateful and thankful for any advice and help please!
