I've just received my new BRP card under an EEA2 permit, however they also returned my old BRP card from my Tier 2 visa. Do I need to return the old BRP?

There was nothing stated in any of the letters the Home Office sent me, but my lawyer mentioned that it may need to be returned. I've tried to call UKBA but the their telephone hotline is absolutely useless and the woman I eventually got through to didn't know.

UKBA has not existed since 2013; it was declared unfit for purpose and aboiished. Maybe someone didn't get the memo.

No, only UK ILR BRPs need to be returned.
