Hello.
I have been living in UK for 6.5 years, originally from Latvia. Worked for 6 years (4 years full time, 2 years part time due to the studies). Out of these 6.5 years havent worked just for 4 month since this September (second year of the Medical Science studies, hard to coupe with combination of studies and work). Now i would like to apply for permanent residence status but not sure if in order to apply i need to have Comprehensive sickness insurance despite the fact i have been working continously for 6 years? And most likely will continue working from February once all major assessments at the uni are done? Or only students who have not worked for certain period of time need this Comprehensive sickness insurance?

Thanks a lot

If classed as student you will need to have had CSI or alternative.
If a worker then no need for CSI but work needs to have been genuine/effective; gaps may be problematic.
