Hello All

I am in the UK since July 2015.

I am on a Tier 5 YMS visa as I am a Canadian National.

I have been married to my Italian spouse since October 2014, although she continued living in Italy while I was in the UK.

She will be moving to UK and has a job offer to start working on March 2017.

My visa is expiring on July 2017, my question is what is best for to do while remaining in the UK with my wife as I apply for a visa.

I have read about the Application for a registration certificate or residence card as the family member of a European Economic Area (EEA) as I am a direct member.
Do I need to wait after she lived in the country for 3 months?

Is there an alternative?

I want to confirm that I can remain in the UK while I apply and continue to work.

Kindly advise

Thanks :)

Its not a visa. And RC is optional.

Apply when you have enough documentary supporting evidence to back your case.
Say after 3 months (3 months payslips).

If wife is a qualified person you may reside and work and even study in UK.
You may have difficulty proving that right until you are successful with RC.
The interim COA may (or should) confirm right to work in the meantime (but doesn't always).
