PR for non qualified EU wife

We both came to the UK from Latvia in 2009. I have been working full time since then and received PR in 2016. My wife started to work only 8 months ago. Before that she had been looking after our daughter and doing 2 years part time master degree. As far as I understand she can't qualify as a self sufficient person and can't apply for PR on her own. However I believe I can be a sponsor for her application.

Please suggest if I’m right and which form we should use? We also want to obtain PR for our daughter (she was born in Latvia).

At the same time I want to apply for British citizenship. I know that I won’t be able to sponsor my wife when I get it. Should I wait until my wife and daughter receive their PR’s and then apply for citizenship? Or I can start naturalisation process just after we submit documents for their PR’s?

Hello
Welcome to the forum.
First of all Register you daughter as a British Citizen (Google it Registering a child as a British citizen). All EU citizens who are here in UK over 5 years will be given right to stay in UK after brexit.
in worst case if you want to sponsor her you can but i would suggest to wait for the outcome of Brexit
hope this helps wait for other member to reply as well.

Thanks

Could anyone suggest which form we should use? Based on our research EEA (FM) is the right one. The only concern we have is that EEA (FM) form is mentioned on this website by non-EU citizens, however my wife is EU citizen.

if you are trying to apply PR for EU wife then go online and apply this process is easier then filing the form all what you have to do is to fill in all information at the end you can make the payment and print off all information and post home office with all documentation.

No, we can't use online form. Webpage you mentioned says:

You cannot currently use the online form if you are:
  • a family member who is not applying at the same time as the qualifying EEA national (your sponsor)
  • a student or self-sufficient person who is financially responsible for any other family members or is reliant on a family member for financial support
  • applying on the basis of retained rights
  • applying under the Surinder Singh category
My wife in not qualifying EEA national.
