Hi Teekay125,

I know this is a very old post...but I find my self in a similar situation like you self.

I have applied for my PR in Jan 2017 but my RC expires in May 20th.

Can I request my passport back and travel on my existing visa until HO send me the PR? Could you please post what happened on your way back from India...If you can remember?

Sorry should have said RC expires May 2018.

Hi,

My RC expires in May 2018, but I have already sent my documents for processing PR, back in Jan 2017. I have done my Biometrics and received the COA. We are planning on going on holiday in Aug 2017. My questions are:

1. If I were to request my passport back: will they withdraw my application?

2. Assuming they don't cancel my existing RC, I guess I can travel on that visa until I received my PR?

Can someone please share their experience?
