Hi All,

I am a non-EEA citizen married to a Greek national. In February, 2017, I sent my application for the 5 years permit residence.
I have been hearing that, although this application should take 6 months to be processed and sent back, there is a high chance that in 2017, due to the Brexit and the increase in the European applications, that it will take more than 6 months. Is this true?

Also, if I get the permit, will I be able to travel to Ireland in case my husband accepts a job role there? and will I be able to work there?

Have a nice day everyone :)

Yes it can take more than 6 months. All you can do is wait.

Your PR will not be relevant in Ireland. It is not 'transferable' to another member state. You would have to start again with a new 5 year residence period in Ireland and any absence of 2 or more years from the UK means you will lose your PR status in the UK.
