Hi
I need a trusted advise from anyone who had the same experience. I was supposed to travel with my British husband to France at the end of this month but due to unexpected personal circumstances he will be only able to follow me the day after. I have been granted a schengen visa under EU spouse. Wi I still be allowed to travel alone if I bring sopportinh documents of our marriage and financial proofs that I can support myself whilst waiting for my husband to join me? I can't apply for a new tourist visa as I've already been issued one. Cancelling and rebooking both flights would cost us fortune.
Thanks

If you have the Schengen visa then you are go to go. No dics needed
It's only when relying on the Directive only (ie. no visa, just derived rights) that you need to travel together, this is where you'd need the docs you mentioned.

Appreciate your response, but where can I get the written eveidence for this? And would my Shengen visa state that I need to be with my EU spouse? I've had schengen visas before and travelled with my husband but I can't remember now whether they ask if I'm with him. Btw, I do have a permanent residence card but it's the one that doesn't say "family of EU"

Things to be aware of
There is no requirement that non-EU family members have previously been resident in the EU. An EU citizen and family members can move from outside the EU to an EU country (but not directly to the EU citizen’s home country!) on the basis of this Directive
Family members must be travelling with or joining the EU citizen, in which case they have the same free movement rights as the EU citizen. They do not, in general, have an independent right of free movement to new places.
This is what I got from the website of freeEUmovement
