Dual Polish - British Citizenship

We have lived in the UK since 2006 and are Polish citizens. Our 2 children were born in England in 2008 and 2010 and have resided here ever since. Is it possible to apply for dual nationality for the 2 children? We were previously told this was not possible because Poland is within the EU as is England.

Yes you can register them as British, provided you/spouse have PR and evidence of PR.

How do we apply for PR? and how do we register them as dual nationality or is that automatic once they are registered as british then they will retain their polish nationality as well?

You as the parent(s) need to apply for PR. Costs £65 each and can take 5-8 months.

You register the children on form MN1 as British. If Poland allows dual citizenship, then fine, nothing else you need to do as far as I am aware.

All the sources I could find (but I don't read Polish) say that Poles may naturalise as British without losing Polish nationality.

Be warned, though, that a Polish citizen may not use a foreign passport to leave Poland. In Poland, a Polish citizen must not use a foreign passport - even if the only passport he has is a foreign passport.
