Admitted immigration (EEA) regulations 2006

Hello everyone,
I’m new in the forum and I need your help.
I’m a Non-EEA family member married to EU British citizen living in Ireland.
I used my EEA right to enter the UK with my wife without visa and I got a stamp for 6 months stating “Admitted to the United Kingdom under the immigration (EEA) regulations 2006”
My question is can I apply for a UK Residence Card (EEA2) while I'm in the UK? or do I have to go back to Ireland and apply for FP then move back to the UK?
Thanks.
