Still waiting after 3 months..

Hy guys,
I applied for two non settlement visas for my spouse and my son (20 years old) from Rome (Italy) on 4th May 2017. It has passed more than 12 weeks but still in TLScontact Italy webpage it is still showing me that it has not been made any decision. Do you think it is normal? They did not even contact me supposing there are missing some documents. Any similar situation?

What visa exactly did you apply for?
What is your UK immigration status?

Oops I misunderstood, anyway I have Italian citizenship and my spouse and son are from Bangladesh but they live in Italy and have unlimited permission to remain in Italy.
