Student - Comprehensive Sickness Cover

Hi,

I am a EU/EEA national (Poland), and have been here for the past 10 years (arrived in England at the age of 14, went to secondary school, college, university and I am now in full-time employment).

Whilst I was a university student, I have not had any private insurance, as I was unaware of the law that I needed one. I had a NIN and a European Health Insurance Card, however the card was issued in the UK, which apparently disqualifies it.

Can someone give me any help/tips/advice. Do I have to wait a couple more years before I can apply for it, or does the fact that I arrived here being dependent on my Dad who was in full-time employment counts?

Thanks

Generally, I am in a very similar situation but based on the information you have provided nobody can answer your question.

Read my post where I have explained my situation in detail,
eea-route-applications/sponsoring-eea-f ... 36505.html

I would imagine you came with parents ? How old are you ? Were your parent/s working full time for the whole time you were in the UK ? Did they register under Workers Registration Scheme when they came to the UK. When did you come to the UK ... Those are basic questions needed in order to determine your eligibility.

(Important note: You can apply for PR based on any 5 year continuous period)
