hi

just have a quick question. I sent in my EU permanent residency application ( I am an EU national) on the 14 August. application was received on the 15th August. yesterday they sent me an email with my case ID number. ( exactly one month after getting my application). by the way, I had sent my application by post.

today I went to check on the gov. uk website for my application status. it said: ' awaiting decision'. ( it had 3 types of status: open, awaiting decision and decided). not sure what they mean by ' open' .

in your experiences, the fact that it says ' awaiting decision' exactly one month after I have sent it, does this mean they will be quick in deciding and is a quick decision a positive one usually?

pleas advice if you know..thanks

It does not mean anything to do with how long it is going to take or what the decision is going to be.
Only thing I can assume is your application is valid and is under consideration.
