Hi everyone,
I have a question.
I got my EEA resident permit in dec 2010.
I fit my Permanent residence card in may 2016.
I applied for naturalization in July 2017.
I just got a letter from the home office that I didn’t meet the food character requirement, because I was in breach of immigration laws before I applied for a resident card in 2010.(over stayed my visa)
My questions
1.when do I apply for naturalization if truly I was in breach of the uk immigration laws?
Thanks for your help

What if someone acquires a PR card after divorce and was overstayed within last 10 years ? I mean can he stay even after March 2019 ?

Only your naturalization is affected if you habe PR unless the law changes after brexit.

Hello everyone
Please I need your help
Any advice will help.
I was here in the uk illegally in 2009
I got my resident permit 2010 (family member of an eea national)
I got my permanent residence in 2016.
I applied for my citizenship July 2017.
I have been working none stop since 2010.
I have just received a letter from the home office that I do not meet the good character requirement . And they want me to provide a lot of documents to show my legal stay in 2009,in order for them to consider my application. And I don’t have these documents. They gave me a particular date to bring this documents, and they will refuse and return my documents if I don’t send them the documents by the 3rd of November 2017.
My questions are
1.Do I ignor the letter?
2.If I ignor the letter, will it just end there?
3.Is there any consequences for ignoring homeoffice request?
4.Will it affect my permanent resident status?
5.Is there anything any lawyer can do at this stage
Thanks guys.
My warmest regards

Oooooh, nothing will happen to your PR, again this is the reason why i will never respect some useless lawyer who doesn't update themselves. He/she should have known that since you've overstayed in the past the application will fail under the so called good character, or the lawyer just choose to ignore so that you can pay the legal money.
Just wait more 4yrs, in total 10yrs legal resident and reapply it will be successful then. Also they will advice you on likely date you can apply again in the letter. But don't ignore, just write to them that you don't have what they are requesting for.
Good luck.
