My partner is an EU national and a British citizen. I was giving 5 years as a family member of EU national. I then applied for Indefinite Leave to Remain after staying in the UK continuously for 5 years. To my surprise, I have been given another 5 years as a family member of EU national. Can I appeal this decision and has anyone experience this? Thanks

What was the initial visa that you entered the UK on? And what visa were you resident in the UK till now? Did you apply for ILR or did you apply for PR?

I applied for Permanent Residence. I had a residence card of a family member of an EEA national for 5 years ending November 2017.

PR is a different application to ILR.
PR costs £65.
ILR costs £2,287 and falls under the UK immigration rules not the EEA/EU rules.
Using the correct terminology is important to avoid confusion.
Did you get a letter from HO?
What form did you complete for your PR application?
What does your EU sponsor (spouse??) do and have done in the UK?

What does the letter say??
There must be a reason you have not been granted PR.
