Hello,

I am a non-EU/EEA citizen partnered with an EEA citizen. We have lived together in 2 different in the EEA officially since February 2016. We moved to London in August and I am currently on a tier-4 visa. We are applying soon for a residency card for myself, and want to make sure our supporting material (to prove we are a couple/have lived together in a marital-like capacity) is enough for the application.

01/02/2016 Confirmation of tenancy with both names (dates 01/02/16 to 31/07/16, signed + stamped) + contract signed by landlord + Applicant
20/04/2016 Bank statement (Sponsor) - Mail
22/07/16 Mail from local police department (Applicant)
Moved to a different country
28/09/16 Joint bank account (both names, signed + stamped)
15/01/17 Bank statement (Sponsor) - Mail
15/02/17 University transcript (Applicant) – Mail
11/04/17 Letter from hospital/doctor (Sponsor)
13/04/17 Official university confirmation letter (Applicant) - Mail
08/07/17 Joint Bank statement (both names)
Moved to London
15/09/17 Water bills (both names) – Mail
15/10/17 Joint bank statement (both names) – Mail
15/02/18 Joint Bank statement (both names) – Mail
15/04/18 Council Tax (both names) – Mail

Extras:
Tax letter mailed (Dec ’17) (Sponsor)
University statement confirming address (March ‘18) (Applicant)
Water bills (March ’18) (both names)
Lots more bank statements

We have translated any non-English documents.

Are they correct? Are they likely to be successful?
Do we need to add picture or other evidence of a relationship? We will add a cover letter.

Thanks!

Seems to be enough, I am sure you have read section 5 of this document:
https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... -04_KP.pdf
So all seems to be according to what they want!

I was in a similar situation 5 years ago (moved from Tier-2 to EEA) and all that I sent were council tax and utility bills addressed to me and my partner, covering a period of three years. That was enough.

Make sure your translations follow what they request on page 1 of the guidance.

Good luck!

Thanks!

I have read the document but wanted to make sure I didn’t make any mistakes/misunderstand anything.

Did you happen to send pictures or screenshots of text messages or anything like that in your application? Are they helpful to have?

Hi,
No, I did not send anything like that. I think council tax, bank statements, utilities and rental agreement in both names is pretty strong evidence and it is unlikely you need more documents.
I would also try not to overload them with documents that might be unnecessary e.g. you said "lots more bank statements". Is that necessary? I think it is a common advice here to try not making their job more difficult by making them sift through too much (unnecessary) information.
Good luck!
