Current Renunciation times in UK

Hello everyone!
So firstly thank you all for all the replies on this page, it is literally a life saver.
My wife is now (finally) a dual irish/British citizen. Myself and our 2 kids (5+8) are South African. We attempted to immigrate using the Spousal Visa, but wife lost her job and was unable to get a job above the 25k per year required.
So we decided (after reading a awesome post here) that she should get her Irish passport, renounce and go through the eea route. We are blessed that she qualifies for both. So wife and 2 kids are in UK, with grandparents (kids with Irish grandpa) and I'm many Thousands of miles away from my family. (for nearly 5 months already).
We are now at the renunciation stage after wife got her Irish passport on Friday.
I was just wondering if anyone knew the current processing times for a renunciation and any tips in how to possibly get it sped up? Cover letters, email addresses or anything that could work.
I know here in South Africa we can pay people to expedite documents, but I don't know if it works that way in UK.
Thank you all very much.
