I'm living in the UK on a EEA family member resident card/permit. I've got 5 years on my resident card but i was curious to know if upon receiving the 5 year EEA resident card does it mean after the 5 years I'll be guaranteed stay here ?

If you reside in the UK for five continuous years in accordance with the EEA Regulations, then you should acquire the right of permanent residence in the UK.
When you say that you hold an EEA Family Permit, are you the spouse of an EEA citizen or the child or parent of one? Or are you an extended family member?

Thank you for your reply. I'm an extended family member of one. I'm just worried that after 5 years I may not be able to obtain permanent residency that's why I asked.
