Hello to everyone,

I’m seeking some advice here.

- married EU national in 07/2013
- EEA FP and moved to UK 11/2013
- EEA2 residence card issued in 05/2014
- Decided to separate with my EX in 11/2015
- Divorce procedures started 01/2018 and still nothing yet. ( lots of confusion and not happy with my solicitor really)
- my ex is full time employed , got all her 6 years P60
- I’m planning to apply for ROR without lawyer cause I had enough .
- My ex is supporting and willing to help with any possible thing or document she can.

My questions are :

1 - can I travel this period or it’s a big risk for troubles ?
2 - my ex is over 5 years in UK => can I somehow apply for PR instead of ROR ?
3 - the struggle I have is to “ prove that we lived together “ ...... ( I can’t find bank statements or bills during that period / tenancy agreement was issued for 6 months and we never bothered to change it or ask for new one .. )
I’m not too sure how to prove that. i have nothing ..

I would appreciate your advices , I’m lost, I didn’t travel to see my family since 3 years cause of this and can’t wait to finish this nightmare 🙏🏽

Hello. I am not an expert but I was in a similar situation.
For prof of cohabitation I contacted the local council and asked for a letter stating the dates that my ex partner and I were paying council tax at the property we lived in.
If you have a joint bank account, the bank might also be able to send you a similar letter.
The main difference between my case and yours was that I divorced after 5 years, so I managed to obtain PR.
I am sure someone with more experience will come along soon and give you better advice.

Thank you for your reply .
The issue is that we were renting a sort en-suit room in a house , so we didn’t pay any council house or bills as all was included in rent ... : (
We didn’t either kept bank statements or phone bills as it’s was a while ago and we have though of this thing.
I don’t how I am going to sort this out really

I understand exactly how you feel, I was there myself. My relationship with my ex completely broke down and she refused to help me, she even went so far as to destroy all the documents we had that could prove we lived together.
Like a suggested earlier. You can write to your bank an ask them to confirm that you were living at the address while you held a account wirh them, your ex partner can do the same. You could also ask for your landlord write a letter.
I know how difficult it can be to remain calm in this situation but dont despair.
Hopefully an expert will come along soon and give you some ideas.
I wish you the best of luck!
