EU citizen - will wife lose EEA Family Memeber Visa if I get Naturalization?

Hello,

I'm an Italian citizen and my wife is Brazilian. She has had the EEA Family Member visa through me for 2 years now (still valid for another 3 years).

I have PR in UK and am eligible for Naturalization now. What will happen to her visa if I get naturalized? Will she have to re-apply as family member of a UK Citizen?

We also have a daughter, who is a UK Citizen, if that makes any difference.

Thank you!

I would not recommend you to naturalize. Follow this thread:

Unless Lounes decision is implemented (please see the above thread), your spouse can only apply settlement visa under UK's immigration rules, once you acquire dual/UK nationality.

Thank you for your reply!

Would her EEA Family Member visa stop being valid immediately after my naturalization? Or would it last until the time stated on the visa card but it would not be possible to renew it?

Would getting a settlement visa under UK's immigration rules be problematic?

Thank you for your help!

Spouse would need to be 5 years on a Spouse Settlement visa (2 x 2.5 year visas current cost for postal is £1033 plus £500 health surcharge) before spouse can apply for ILR based on 5 years spouse visa.
