PR after Divorce

Hi guys,

Hope someone could help and answer my question?!

I was a family member of an EU national (I'm an Indian and my ex German), both of us lived together and worked in London for more than 3 years and unfortunately got divorced after 3 years of marriage.

I have all the documents proving we both lived together and she exercising her treaty rights in the UK all these years however I recently heard from my lawyer that I needed her work documents after our divorce settlement but I have them during the period of our divorce.

As per immigration law I'm required to prove we both were married for 3 years and my EU national spouse should have been working for at least a year in the UK, which has been the case.

What are my chances of obtaining my visa and if not, what can I do to make sure I get the PR as my life, work and personal happiness belongs here in the UK.

Any help or suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Thanks

You need to provide proof that she was a exercising treaty right on the day the divorce proceedings was initiated, not after the divorce. If the lawyer said it must cover the period after divorce, then i disagree with him or her, as that is not the legal requirement.

Hi
I got mine few months ago and if you are divorced, you need to show document to proof that you were living together and you have to send your ex's passport or ID. And if you have been exercising the treaty after your divorce, and ask your ex if she could help with any documents of her exercising the treaty. Do this and you are 100% getting it.
