non-EEA PR

hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum. I have a few questions regards PR and what's next.

My Immigration history.

Came illegal to the UK in 1997, registered as a refugee.
In June 2010 I married to EEA citizen
Got my PR in 2016
Due to some misunderstanding, my ex-wife divorced me this year April 2018
after that, she became a British citizen last month.

Now my question is, will there be any problem when I apply for settled status in March 2019?
Or If I apply for Naturalisation, because of my illegal entry in 1997, will that be refused?

Have I lost my PR because I got divorced or she became a British citizen?

Thanks

Hi

Your PR is valid and you will get settle status in March 2019. I am in similar situation, my partner got BC but I got refused and I have been searching about my PR.

On the basis of my research I can tell you now that once you get PR, you are on your own and your wife’s status does not affect you.

As far as BC is concerned they have different conditions and criteria to judge cases. If you have broken any immigration law in last ten years then you cannot get BC. I just wasted my 1330 pounds plus NCS fee.
