Hope you are all well.

My parents have been issued BRC under surinder singh valid until 30 June 2021 on 22 May 2020. I was expecting for 5 years but found out things have been changed recently.
Please can someone guide, if they apply for pre settled status, Would that be issued for 5 years?
Would it be change in card or be treated as new application?

They need to apply under the EU Settlement Scheme. Article 10 cards won't be valid beyond June 2021 anyway (even if the date printed on them is beyond).
