If anyone could help , would appreciate it.

I recently got my settled status /ILR as a non EU joining a family member ,my parents have been threatening not to sponsor me at any point I need to renew my papers.

I just want to know where I stand incase the worst happens and if I need my sponsor while applying for my British passport .

Any comments would be helpful.

Try and make amends with you parents. If you jave settled status, you dont need to rely on a sponsor.
