Hi

My partner (an eu national) and I just got married and are planning to apply for the EEA 2 application however it does not state that she needs an EEA 1 to support me

so far here are the list of documents we have prepared

1) My passport
2) her passport
3) marragie certifacte (got married in a London registrar office)
4) a letter from her employers
5)photographs and bank statements to prove we live in the same address

We have booked a holiday mid June so hoping the application is processed by then but I know we can always request our documents back

Does anyone know if we need to apply for EEA 1

There is no need to apply for EEA1 . However, as you are basically sending all the documents which are required for EEA1 application, she can apply for it if she wish. Just add the EEA1 form and photos in the same envelope.
It will not affect your application if she asks for it or not.

Strictly speaking, there is no need for the bank statements but I guess you are doing that to show this is not a sham marriage.

Ofcourse :) we did get married last week anyone would be a skeptic lol

But I am applying for it early because my visa ends in July and would prefer to go on holiday stress free
