New documents for EEA2 applications

Hi,
In the EEA2 application form, I saw new document requests like proof of residency, utility bills and bank statements. I think this is a new regulation.
Anyway, along with the other documents of my spouse and I, I send our current contract and council tax on joint names. Our tenancy agreement is for the next 1,5 years.
Is this sufficient? IS there any specific requirement for these documents e.g.. covering next of past 2 years ?

Are you mixing up EE2 and EE4 perhaps?

The form is not new. The version is from June 2011. You only need to provide proof that you are resident in the UK. No need to proof residency in the future, just that you currently in the county. A single utility bill would do the job.

For EEA2 no proof of residence is required whatsoever. Applications will be posted back to the address so advised on the form.
To recap, what is required is non-EU passport, proof of relationship and EU national's residence certificate (or proof of entitlement to one; one of the ways that can be shown is by an employer's letter plus EU passport).

I would think that the regulations talk about a family member of a qualified person residing in the country so I believe the HO are in position to ask for proof of your presence in the UK although you can argue a passport should prove that.

Sorry, but the regulations don't say that. The list of requirements is exhaustive and proof of address in not on it.

Meir14; would you mind answering the question. Did you mean EEA4 and not EEA2 (the first is for Permanent Residence, the second is for a Residence Card)?
It's just that your subsequent post suggests you meant EEA4 (and yes, you do need to prove residence for that).

I meant EEA 2. In the form, there is a section in the required documents.
