Hi,
I'd submitted my EEA2 form to Home Office = 17 Feb 2012
Form was delivered via Royal Mail on = 20 Feb 2012
COA = NO NEWS after one month (I've sent an email 20 March 2012)
I am now holding my EEA Family permit which expire on 22 April 2012.

Those timelines are pretty normal. Don't worry about the family permit expiring. You'll just to need to be patient, I'm afraid.

It makes no legal difference that your EEA FP has expired or not. You are still legally in the country.
The only problem is if you are working, or need to travel.

IF you need application for work, you can ask for priority, especially if it causes hardship. Travel's another matter.
