does anyone know about any special tax refunds you can get when leaving the country from working on a temporary Tier 5 YMS Visa??

there are no 'special' tax refunds for tier 5 migrants. However if you leave the UK for example part way through the tax year and have paid too much tax on your income for that year you may be entitlted to a rebate. See here
