Dear Friends,
I have appointment next week and have final checks and now what soever I thought was right, looks wrong now

.
Please help..I am Filling SET O application on TIER2ICT.
1) English Language:- I have Done my Masters in English language and has got a letter from my University India. Also taken PBS calculator printout. Now I see KollList of tests on ukvi site ststes that it is must to write any ELT, but I have no time really.
2) In Section 6.1 first entry date really bothering me. Because I was initially on WP(5yrs continuty broken) and then on TIer-2 ICT(5yrs continuty holds good).
a. Dates based on was on WP visa:-Arrived 27April2008 - Left UK 14OCT2009 and Visa expired on 29December2009
b. Dates based on Tier2ICT:-Visa issued on 27Jan2010 & arrived in UK 04Feb2010 living since then - both on same employer/sponsor.
I Feel to like 04Feb2010 fits in section 6.1, but when filling section 7.11 how long you stayed in UK should I count from 27thApril2008 or should I count from 04Feb2010. Also I got letter from My company from 04Feb2010, though intially my HR want to give it from 27April2008 I asked to do it 04Feb2010, but I now regret. Please advice on this.
3) My SOC was given as "2139 Information and technology communications
Professionals", but when I look in to the UKVI SOC code of practise there is no
Professionals work on it, will it be a problem/issue.
It is really urgent please help
Regards,

This topic has been discussed in other forums. See the link below
http://www.immigrationboards.com/settli ... 78041.html
On this forum there r links that tell about acceptable eng qualifications.
On the below link page 5 it says-
"So, for example, a person applying for settlement as a Tier 2 (General) migrant who has already demonstrated a knowledge of English equivalent to B1 level in order to qualify for entry clearance, will not have to take a further test at settlement stage."
https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... t-koll.pdf
I'm no expert but it sounds like if u proved already that ur eng qualification is B1 level equivalent for speaking n listening (for tier2) then this should be enough. Did u already prove this in ur previous application?
Section 6.1 and 7.11 will be based only on the last 5 year on which ur application is based and hence 4 feb 2010.
I applied in tier 1 so not aware of tier 2 SOC but do look other forums and I'm sure u will get an answer.

Dear Friend,
Thanks a lot for advicing in two out of my three queries, still I am not fully clear with 2 and 3. Please can some one help
1) English language - Yes gone through the link you have provided which is helpful and I see I my PG degree meets the requirment.
2) For your reply in filling the SET O application, I am clear now to fill 4thfeb2010 in 6.1, but for 7.11 it has generic meaning of duration of my stay in UK, do you still suggest me to count from 4thFeb2010, if so should it be 4Years11Months is this correct because i am doing within28days.
Also for the same, because I have stayed in UK before 4thFeb2010 with WP from April2008 till Oct2009, should I mention it some where, if so could you please advice where can I fill this.
3) I stil couldnot find a suitable link to see if some one had similar issue.
Please help clarifying..
Thanks in advance.

For my application I applied within 28 days before finishing 5 years and filled 4 yrs 11 months and this was fine. So from feb 2010 to your date of application will also be 4 yrs and 11 months and this is perfectly fine. As I wrote earlier they r only looking at the 5 year period before your application on the basis of which alone u qualify for ILR. nothing before that period so u need not mention anything else.

Thanks a lot for your reply.
Filled 4Years11Months in section 7.11 as I will go next week -waiting for my December End statement.
Really confident now.
Also do you have any cover letter formats ? can I ask this in this forum.
Please help if you have one.
Thanks

Although I didn't put any cover letter (as I had nothing to explain extra for my case) I did put little sticky notes with headings (like earnings, koll, cohabitation) between my neatly divided sections of docs for them to understand what each set of paper clipped docs were addressing. This is upto u and not necessary.
When is ur appointment next week? Good luck with ur application.
Do update us after ur appointment so it can help others too.

Dear Forum members/Moderators/Friends,
I have successfully got my ILR last week and got my BRP card with in 3days - it is very quick thanks to UKVI excellent (should I yet to receive anything else ?).
Thanks for every one who answered all my queries about English Language qualification, SETO queries (Section5, Section7.11, 10.15 and payment sheet). All were well advised. I am very happy finally.
I will also try to help and try to clarify if I can - which I should do I believe in return to this site.
Thanks a lot.. a ton all of you....
Cheers,
VPSRAO.

Hi,
I I applying for ILR- settlement by premium service on 07th of March 2015. I will be completing 5yrs on 14th of March (Came to UK on 15th March 2010). Am I ok to apply 7 days before my 5yr stay in uk completed? Can anyone please advice me on this?
Also my wife has cleared IELTS academic in 2012July and she is staying in UK since March 2010. Is this IELTS clearance still valid (despite 2yrs validity of IELTS TRF) ?
Thanks
